I first heard ” the information is out there” in a film series based on books by Robert B Parker, the Jesse Stone series. The character who said these words was Luther “Suitcase” Simpson who was a local police detective in a town called Paradise. After he had a brain injury from a gun shot wound, Luther would often come up with these mystical quotes. I love this film series and the cast of actors are just great in it.
This quote reminds me of Synchronicity which is like when information always seems to pop up for me when I have been ruminating about something. I just wrote a post about it yesterday in regards to weight loss called Synchronicity and the BMI.
Another issue that I have been struggling with is how current main stream medicine seems to follow a one-size-fits all mentality which usually involves relying on pharmaceutical treatment of many illnesses and does not consider a holistic approach like stress reduction, body work and meditation to augment the treatment of illness. I have experienced that the whole person is not considered and I am not seen as a unique individual. So up popped another article in my email about this very issue.
So I agree with Luther that when you are looking for the answer in the universe ” the information is out there” and it will be sent to you, sometimes in your email.
The concept of synchronicity is really interesting. I believe that it’s true, too. I also completely agree with you regarding a holistic approach to treatment. It just makes more sense.

Yes I have found these coincidences that often occur in my life fascinating. I know doctors are rushed nowadays to complete their interactions with people within 15 minutes or less and that is why we get a one-size-fits-all type of treatment. And the medical assistant/nurse always asks me the same generic questions that are prompted by the computer based on the profile entered into their system which usually does not address my current issues adequately. I ask a lot of questions and provide additional info every time to add to the picture.

I agree with you. I sometimes think that maybe they’re not coincidences, but information or events that we are somehow attracting/ creating because of the vibrational frequency of our thoughts and emotions–you may think this sounds corny. 🙂 I’ve read a couple of books by Lynne McTaggart that address this notion: The Field; The Intention Experiment. These books discuss the understanding of consciousness as a field of all possibilities where intention orchestrates its own fulfillment. I thought they were very interesting.
I can completely relate to your experience with visiting the doctor. You really have to advocate for yourself.

I don’t think it is corny but very interesting. Yes we have to let them know who we are don’t we? 🙂

Oh good! 😉 Yes, we do. I had to go through a couple of doctors until I found someone who listened. It’s such a different experience.

The beauty of this age is the information is not only out there but accessible, though I do check to see who it is that providing the info…..often pharmaceutical companies do slant the info in their favour….great post Deborah, you gave m much to think about….

Interesting read, Not knowing where to look is often an issue though. Or having too many places to look

When I am referring to synchronicity I am speaking of when information with appear without having actively sought it out. Or people have said you can set an intention or decide you are moving toward a certain direction and then all of a sudden you will meet people or see a lot of information about the thing you are moving toward. The information will come to you.

I couldn’t agree more about the universe putting in front of us that which we are looking for…. I also am curious about holistic ways of reducing stress, pain and illnesses in the body. Thank you for posting this!
Hope you had a lovely weekend,

Hi Deborah,
I too believe in synchronicity. Whether or not it’s somehow tied into intuition am not sure. I also believe everything is interconnected, interrelated, interdependent. That it’s all a part of consciousness and energy flow. Some twenty-five or so years ago, when I was working for an educational film company, I proposed one on Holistic Health. The very well-educated and kindly head of my department apologetically rejected such a film; he said I was ‘ahead of my time.’ I think, for some parts of our world, not ‘my’ time, but ‘THE’ time, has come! Thank you for your excellent posts, as ever. :))

Thanks Audrey <3. Yes it is like we become connected or draw the information to us. It is hard to have a cutting edge idea and have others not see it or when people aren't ready for it.

Yes and it could have something to do with Tom Selleck playing the role of Jesse Stone 🙂

I watch the series, too, here in Melbourne, Australia. Comes on late at night. There don’t seem to be many episodes or, at least, not a great many shown here, and I’ve seen every one of them more than once. Am also a fan of Jesse Stone AND Tom Selleck!

Yes. The series was made as a group of films, not too many. I have the DVDs and have watched them more than once too.
