Perfect. I think I want things to be perfect and always fall short of that goal. Why do I have this expectation? This leads to being let down and then the mind picks another perfect goal. Everything will be great when _____happens. Or this can cause me to be overwhelmed with a task and have trouble beginning or finishing. Need to let go of perfection and be happy with good enough.
Stream of Consciousness Saturday, #SOCS, is hosted by Linda G Hill. The prompt for today is “ect.” Find a word with the letters “ect” in it, and base your post on that word. (Not to be confused with “et cetera,” which is “etc.”)

Sometimes wanting things more perfect can get in the way of being happy with what you have. 🙂

Perfection is overrated. I prefer progress over perfection any day.

Perfectionism, I suffer that too, mainly because I had a mother who let me know just how imperfect I was on a daily basis. It’s not easy to overcome, but like everything, it’s one day at a time. And just so you know I’m making progress, my house looks like a disaster right now! LOL

I am glad you are making progress on not being perfect. I think I have made progress with my house too. It’s definitely not perfect. 😀
