If we were having coffee, I would tell you the weather has been cooler the past few days. Expected to get into the low 90s F today, and the breeze will make it feel cooler. There has been a flurry of nesting activity over our patio door this morning. The birds are bringing pieces of dried plant stems, small leaves, and cobwebs up to their nest.
I want to take a peek at the finished product when they’re not around.

You have nesting now? Here they’re just eating a huge amount but I don’t think they are making nests…but maybe I don’t know.

Yes, apparently, they do nest more than once a year. I think they winter in this part of the country.

I hope you can take a peek when the parent birds are not around. I try to peek at starling bird nests in the spring. Thank you for your weekend coffee share.

Thanks, Bette. I just hope the birds can survive the gardeners who were in the yard this morning with a loud trimmer. I told the gardeners to cut it out, the noise. Happy Halloween and have a lovely week.
