We are not expecting Trick-or-Treaters this Halloween because LA County has told us all that it is probably not safe due to COVID. We will keep our porch light off and I feel a bit like a Halloween Scrooge. We did not put up any decorations either. It does not feel like a holiday this year. One good thing is that we won’t have those bags of left over candy in the house to tempt us.

Stream of Consciousness Saturday, #SOCS, is hosted by Linda G Hill. The prompt word for today is ‘trick.’

If there was ever a time to use the phrase “err on the side of caution” this is it.
As for the bags of candy – hubby is waiting for November 1 when he can take advantage of sales.

It is tempting to buy those bags of candy on sale. 😀

We do have done candy. I guess I’ll have to eat it 😏

Wait. Wut? Having the light off means you don’t buy candy? I’ve been doing it wrong all of these years. 😀

You like the spooky affect with no lights.

We never answer the door for Trick or Treaters, anyway…

It does keep you busy going back and forth to the door. I hope no one comes because I kind of feel like I’m hiding in my house.

Same here. We usually have handed out candy, but not this year – sad to say. Our light will be off, and the door closed tonight. Better safe than sorry.
