If we were having coffee, I would tell you we are settling back into our daily routine at home. Since our recent trip, we are better acquainted with our pet grandchildren. Things are a lot quieter here. At first, I expected to have a dog jump up at me as I moved around the house. Marley and Caesar were good companions too.

Mask mandates have been rescinded but masks are still recommended in indoor spaces if you are unvaccinated or at high risk for infection. We needed to go grocery shopping and decided we were still going to wear masks. Our infection rates are still high here although going down. With all the home testing I don’t think the case rates are accurate anymore. I wondered if we would be in the minority with masks, but there were many other shoppers and grocery workers wearing masks as well. I have some books group meetings coming up next month and a bridal shower. Have to see if I feel comfortable without a mask then.
The recent world news has been bad. I was not alive during WWII but the attack on Ukraine reminds me of Hitler’s attacks on neighboring countries. Dictators don’t win in the end and this one won’t either.

Welcome home, Deborah. Towns around here have removed the mandates, but I’ve still been wearing a mask while shopping.

Hi Deborah.
Glad you’re home safe and sound.
I hope you’re right about the war and this evil man in Russia. He has a huge ego and little regard for human life. It’s sad that the US is so powerless in our leadership. I think few and least of all Mr. Putin take our president seriously.
I distaste politics – but these men are going to get a lot more innocent people killed.
Other than prayer, what can we do. . .?

He will not succeed because most of the world is against him, and he is not in the right. I hope it stops before more loss of life.

The mask mandates -have been relaxing but most people continue to wear masks. Yesterday I was at the grocery store and I saw a few workers NOT wearing masks but just about all the customers did NOT wear a mask. It was a quite confusing.

I have been checking and re-checking my county and state guidelines and the state is still recommending masks indoors in many settings. The same here, we have some people without and others continue to wear masks.
