“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.”-Helen Keller
This has been true in my life and maybe in yours too. We can get stuck looking at that closed door. Better to seek out the open ones that are still waiting for us.

Nice quote about doors. It reminds me of Emerson’s “Every wall is a door.”

So true. There’s always a way out, or a way in.

There are more directions to go in. Thanks, Dan. 🙂

This quote rings true and yet sometimes it’s hard to tell which doors require a little effort to open, whether the lock needs picked or if the it’s important to return later to see who may have come through while you were away and which doors truly are closed.

Or we can have the tendency to hang around by that closed door a bit too long trying to get in, jiggling the door knob and fiddling with the lock, and it really is the wrong door for us. 🙂 Thank you, Dan. 🙂

I’ve certainly stared at and knocked on many a closed door. But now, I’m learning to look at the path, too.

It has taken me a long time to accept this idea but I think I am bit better at looking to the path too. Thank you, JoAnna. 🙂

I love the quote. Helen Keller certainly had a few closed doors but she did find new ones to open. I shall try to remember that and view things through the optimism of opening doors to new wonders and opportunities.

Helen Keller was an amazing person. She overcame so many of those closed doors. That’s the thing, and I it has been very hard for me to do this, let go of something that is not meant to be and move in another direction. Thank you, Cynthia. 🙂
