Brother Watch Update

Received a recorded message from my brother’s Nursing Home just now that there are currently 5 patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 and 2 additional staff members. Three patients are in the hospital with the virus and 2 are in isolation. They said we would be notified if our family member tested positive. I have been calling every day to get an update on my brother and ask to talk with him if possible on Skype. Today the Nurse thought he was stable. He was supposed to call me back, with their help, on Skype, but he did not call. In the recorded message today they mentioned that we should not call and expect to talk to the nurse. They provided an email for the administrator and they will answer as best they can. This reminds me of Kirkland Washington. I left a message for my brother’s MD to see if he has more information.

that’s scary and hard not to be able to be certain and to connect with him. I’m sure they are overwhelmed at times with all that is going on, but that doesn’t make it any easier for you on the other side.

I understand they are busy but we have to find a way to get updates on our family members. Part of me knew this could spread further in the facility but I was hoping they had it under control. I think I can still talk to him by the portable phone and I will be checking on that.

    Hi Debbie,

I’m so sorry for all the uncertainty. You are all in my thoughts! Hoping that your brother is well. I forgot his name. Let me know. Thanks! Love, Cynthia

I sent an email to the administrator and he did answer me. I think they will help my brother John with Skype. The whole thing is so anxiety producing. His MD called me back and called the facility as well. So I feel I have a couple of people looking out for my brother. Thank you, Bette ❤ ❤

Why can’t they schedule times when a nurse or an admin person can call you with an update. How fo they expect people to accept bring left in the dark?

I’m sorry you have to work so hard to get information.
