Evacuated again yesterday evening. We had this experience several years ago, so this time we left when we were given the voluntary evacuation notice. We knew that the mandatory evacuation order could be coming soon and did not want to spend the night with one eye open waiting for it. Made quick calls to local family, packed a few essentials, grabbed some photo albums, drove away toward West Los Angeles. Happy that our kids and little grandson are evacuated and safe. Feels like the fire took off fast this time.

Praying for the safety of all affected by fire.

Thank you, Roland. It is a bad one and in Northern California.

We’re stunned that Paradise was destroyed – except the Taco Bell. So glad you are safe, Deborah.

Are you living near there? I have been focused on the fires here. Thank you.

No – we’re in Idaho, but my wife has a friend that used to live in California.

We are really having a hard time with these fires. I know the state government has been discussing being even more proactive because of the change in climate with more drought.

Oh my! Hope things go well. I didn’t realize you were evacuated. Thinking of you. The shootings weren’t far from you either. Be well and safe!!

Went out to run an errand yesterday afternoon and on the way home we saw the smoke plume near Newbury Park then noticed a dark cloud of smoke in the hills about Agoura. We could smell the fire. I had a bad feeling about it. We tracked the news reports and then realized it could move toward us. We got the call from the City of Agoura calling for citywide voluntary evacuation. We are good. Glad Scott and Jennie and little Gavin are ok. Kate is with us. Thanks, Cynthia. xo

We are safe and lucky that we have family to shelter with. We have a couple of more ‘red flag’ days with high fire risk and just hope to get through it and hope that all Californians who are affected by this wildfire season can come through it and not lose their homes. Thank you, Anna xo
