I do like cats an awful lot. Our cat died a few years ago. It was originally my daughter’s cat. Well you know how it goes. The daughter goes away to college and the cat became my cat. I became very attached to the cat. Her name was Angel. It was very hard when she died.
Cats do have interesting personalities like all animals. I don’t agree with people who say cats are so independent that they do not care about people. Angel did not bond with everyone. She would not slobber all over you. But she did bond with me and my daughter very much. I think cats know if you are a cat person or not. They can be easily frightened by people. Once they trust you they will be your friend. Just like us.

Great quote and I agree with you about cats; I have a very loving cat right now and have had others over the years. Sorry you lost Angel, but glad you had that experience of getting close to her!

I’m sorry you lost your cat. Animals become like family, so it’s so hard when they leave us. Cats definitely care about people and pick their favorites to cuddle with. They are so sweet, most of them.

I understand that completely. Having lost my dog of several years, over 14 years ago, I’ve yet to get another one. It was just too painful.

I’m a crazy cat lady myself. The idea that cats don’t bond to people is phooey. The cats I’ve lived with all bond closely with at least one person. Cats are great!

cats do seem to know who likes them – my mum is never keen although she would never say so or make a fuss. But some cats seem to make a fuss of her just to be contrary. This always upset me when i was little and we went to visit a friend who owned a beautiful ginger cat. I wanted the cat to come and sit on my knee but it would go straight for my mum and make a huge fuss about climbing straight into her lap.
