I have always prided myself on having an aptitude for numbers but there are things I have trouble figuring out. Seems like we could elect your pet dog, cat, rock, or favorite house plant for President before we will consider electing a woman.
I’m being facetious. But really? ! What gives?

Our country can be pretty slow in some areas, though I believe it will happen eventually. In the meantime, the women who’ve been running for president lately have had important impact with the issues they’ve raised.

It’s got to happen especially when women figure out they are capable and are the majority. Thank you, JoAnna. 🙂

I just had an argument with my husband about this very topic this morning! He says that it’s not discrimination when a woman can’t seem to be elected, it’s ‘just the way voting works, whomever the majority want wins.” He doesn’t see that people are not voting for a woman because they don’t think a woman can lead, and that if you had a white guy and a woman with the same credentials the white guy would win, just because he is a guy. It’s so frustrating.

In addition, I think people as so paranoid about electability. I heard quoted that people, when asked on a poll, said they would vote for a woman but they didn’t think their neighbors would so they were worried a woman could not get elected. Maybe they should go ask their neighbors why not? Thank you, Dawn. 🙂
