Terrifically Icky Hot

Record breaking heat is predicted for Southern California this weekend. Heat which causes you to feel pretty icky and sticky, weather that can make you sick.

Good that we have AC but I hate to think what our electric bill is going to be this summer if this type of weather lasts. Hope it cools off tonight.

      They were very hot. If you lived in an adobe house with thick walls, I think it would be insulated. I remember a water cooler my parents or grandparents had, that had a section for water and a fan blew over it. I did not live in Southern California before AC, so I am not sure. 🙂

    Of course, this is the weekend we’re having some friends over to the pool. I did schedule it for late afternoon 3:30. We’re in Orange County. But I worry about my parents. They will have to get in the water. And we’ll have to do easy up – combined with tree Shade.

    I feel for you. I am fortunate to live in a shady spot, so my summer bills are lower here than elsewhere I’ve lived. Indy temps are rarely above 95, but we have high humidity, and I love my air-conditioning! Stay cool much as you can, I hope it passes soon!

      Humidity can make it feel much hotter, muggy. Well we got over 100 here yesterday, 104. We did stay indoors with AC or in car with AC if we went out. It’s supposed to be in the 90s today. Thanks, Joey. 🙂

      I read that California utility companies are paying other states to buy our solar and wind power. What’s wrong with this picture? We need our utility rates to go down. Really can’t survive without AC in this heat. Thank you, Dan. 🙂

      Well thank goodness it is dry heat. When I stepped outside yesterday I felt it for sure, over 100 F. We get in the 100s sometimes in the summer. Just can’t do a whole lot but stay cool. I like dry heat much better than humidity. 🙂

      Over 90 degrees and humid does not sound good. Our temperatures have gone done to normal heat for this time of the year, in the 80s. You stay cool too. Your sheep must be hot, how do they stay cool?
