That would be the scary part, living in a dome with no air to breath outside. NASA has been funding studies on how humans would tolerate living on Mars by recreating a similar environment on Earth. Do you think we could really live on Mars?
It is argued that life on Earth may be destroyed by an asteroid impact and we need to find other planets to live on to ensure that man will survive. It would be a good idea to work on ways to prevent asteroids from hitting Earth. Maybe that should be the priority. There is the argument that this is about science and some say there is a wealth of resources on other planets, moons, and asteroids. The science part interests me most.
On a lighter note, will we have Mars Bars on Mars? This is making me hungry. Not sure about Deep Fried Mars Bars, though. I like frozen candy bars better.

I don’t know if I could live in a dome for very long. Still, the way we’re treating this place, maybe we need a backup. I’m not sure we should be allowed to ruin another planet.

It is worrisome that we might need a back up. I have thought about environmental impact on all the moons and planets that are being discussed as sources of riches for some people. I can see the similar problems popping up on other planets that have happened here. I am missing Earth already, although I doubt I will be one of those who would be moving because I think I will be too old. It really makes me appreciate our beautiful planet even more. 🙂

A back up plan, means we have a plan A. Plan A, our priority, should be preventing the asteroids from hitting earth and helping our home planet be as healthy as she can be. Mars can be Plan B. As much as I love science and science fiction, it would be hard to leave knowing Earth still has a chance.

Yes Mars is Plan B, and scientists also want to go there just because. They want to explore our solar system and its planets, moons, and asteroids. Some people want to exploit the resources of other planets, moons, and asteroids. I hope man never has to leave Earth completely.
