Mr. Zoot Suit

Zoot Suits were a style in the 1940’s. Bright colored, long coats and baggy pants, wide brimmed hats with feathers. If you wore one you might be called “pachuco.” Or you might just like the music of Mr. Zoot Suit and want to dance.

When I was looking on You Tube regarding zoot suit music and images, Jim Carrey did pop up. But zoot suits were really connected to black and latino culture in America in the 1940s. And I like the swing music and dance of that time. The Mask took advantage of the revival of interest in the music and dance of the 1940s.
