The Santa Anna winds are blowing and are forecast for next week in the LA area. We are also having high temperatures into the 80s by Monday. We don’t believe in Winter in LA. I do not like the Santa Annas. They are dry, hot winds that make me edgy and itchy. They can promote wild fires.
Is a thumb a finger? A thumb is one of our five digits but we call it a thumb and not a finger. It is good we have thumbs because they enable us to do many things but if we had all thumbs we would be clumsy. Thus the expression “I’m all thumbs! ”
Fingers and thumbs are called digits. I wish I could perform some prestidigitation and make the Santa Annas disappear. ALAKAZAM!

I know wind is always a bit unsettling but the dry, hot wind can be nerve wracking. But it is not so bad right now. We usually get this wind every year. 🙂

That is too bad you get the winds often. We do too but they aren’t the Santa Ana winds that you get there.

I was beginning to think we didn’t believe in winter in Connecticut, but we got some snow this week. Nice response to “fingers”

I had heard it was warm back East this winter and that it was because of our El Nino out here. Southern California has not gotten very much El Nino yet, it has mainly stayed in the North. And California did get a lot of snow in the Sierras. Thank You Dan. 🙂

It’s windy here too, wind chills are cutting. All that beautiful snow covering the branches has been blown away, but the chill remains. Stay cool, and I’ll work at staying warm. 🙂
