The Hidden Castle

“Few knew about the castle hidden inside the island.”

Few knew about the castle hidden inside the island. Robert said he would build it for me and I would be his queen. He was so different from me. An adventurous spirit who had come to the Gold Country to find his fortune. I was always so timid and was happy to let him take center stage in our lives.

Shortly after we were married I noticed a change in my husband, the black moods and rages. He had locked me in the bedroom again. Moonlight flowed in through the window. The full moon over the lake reminded me of happier days as I whispered his name, Robert. A noise brought my gaze to the clearing at the back of the castle. A wolf like creature that was walking on it’s hind legs. It turned toward me and I recognized his eyes.

This is wonderful! I love it – so creepy and horrific. That’s such a great ending, “…I recognized his eyes.”

Wow! She didn’t realize who she was marrying. Sometimes you will find out things are not exactly as you thought, but this was really different and very disturbing. I also like the part about recognizing his eyes. Great story!

Very mysterious and creepy then wow! I hope she stays safe, in the movie the wolf turned on his entire family!

  I am not sure how it is going to turn out but I did have some ideas. I did not see that movie, must have been pretty good! Thank You! I did not start out thinking of werewolf but he got in there somehow. 😉

I really liked this story. The werewolf ending puts a different perspective on the whole thing.

I guess that explains his mood shifts then. It sounds like he was maybe locking her up for her own protection – wouldn’t want to accidentally eat her! Great story!

That he locked her safely away on full moon nights suggests that he cares for her still. I wonder what she might do now that she knows his secret…? Great story. 🙂
