It is very gratifying to receive recognition from fellow bloggers and receive awards. I appreciate so much the support of these blogger friends. I like to think, when they nominate me, they are saying they do like reading my posts. It is fun for my ego to receive the awards and display them as well.
I have been thinking about this on and off for a while. I have decided to be award free because although I really appreciate it so much, instead of participating in the award requirements, right now I feel like I would rather support other bloggers in a different way. I will continue to support other bloggers by giving them likes or comments. And I do have a group I follow and a few weekly blogging activities.
I want to Thank Very Much the bloggers who have nominated me recently for:
Thank You Morgaine at Just Fooling Around with Bee for nominating me for One Lovely Blog Hop.
Thank You LuciledeGodoy and Fourth Generation Farm Girl for nominating me for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award.
Thank You Fourth Generation Farm Girl for nominating me for The Versatile Blogger Award.
I am honored to be recognized by you and recommend that other bloggers visit your sites and see your lovely blogs as well. ❤ ❤ ❤
Congratulations for your nominations … and for making the tought decision to go award-free, Debbie. It’s such a WordPress dilemma. Have a great Sunday, my friend. I hope you guys are pulling out of the drought in SoCal?

Thanks Mark ❤ Well I don't think we have pulled out of the drought yet. Could you ship some of that snow water out here? Geez, you guys get too much water and us not enough. Happy Sunday to you too. ❤

I would ship you half of the snow in our yard, and on my roof, even after I’ve raked the edges, Deborah. Still! The second week of March, into Daylight Savings Time. I want to give you some of our water. Please. You need it and we have it. This is crazy, Mother Nature.

This is a great response to the deluge of awards which, while appreciated, tend to come with sometimes overwhelming homework.

And oops, that is the first time I called you Debbie, Deborah. Are you a Debbie-free blog? I don’t want to get your name wrong after these months. 🙂

That’s ok, no worries. I have been using Deborah for my blog. So for the blog, I am Debbie-free 😀

Congratulations Deborah, I have thought about doing the same because of the work who follows the awards. It is always nice to be appreciated, but these award take much time.

Thank You Irene. I agree, it is a dilemma. ❤

Congratulations for your award Deborah… And you have said it – the way you support through your likes and thoughtful feedback goes a long way in appreciating and recognizing the work of other bloggers! 🙂

That’s exactly how I feel, Deborah, although I haven’t been showered with awards to the extent to which you have been – justifiably. But your response is so much more considered than mine: to outline your reasons for declining in such a well-thought-out and courteous blog post is class!!! 🙂

I’ve been considering going Award Free myself. I still have some I have not accepted…..I feel so bad!!! I really appreciate being nominate though! But like you, I prefer to show my support through likes and comments. 🙂

I know what you mean. I had some of mine on hold and then when I got another I told myself I need to make a decision. I did not want people to feel that I did not appreciate it either.

It’s on my list as I try to get back on track with posting and interacting.

Another thing I have realized is that I need to set my own pace with posting and interacting.

I think that’s so important. I had a routine that seemed to be working until I got sick a few weeks ago. Once I was bounced out of it, I haven’t been able to get it back. And now my daughter-in-law is starting a new job so I’ll be baby-sitting occasionally so that will mess with my schedule too.

It will take a little time to get your schedule reorganized. It is hard when we have more demands on our time.
